I'll Never Tell You That I Don't Like You

It's nothing bad
Not seemingly
Not on the surface
It's annoying
But not "bad"
I can't remember the last time you were real
I hear you say the same things over and over—daily
Read this, read that
See this, see that
Hear this, hear that
Smell this, smell that
Go here, go there
WE DO NOT CARE
It's all the same
Your fickle fame
So why the noise?
Why all the hype?
I've seen you now
You're not my type
Nothing I'd go searching for
I've heard you once
I'll hear no more
But thinking now
I've known you well
I've seen you 'round for quite a spell
Your "sound" relies on corny tastes
While you obsess about your fates
Now even still, you cannot rest
You're eager
Trying to be the best
The best of what?
I'm wondering
As I observe your blundering
But pity
It is in my hand
It's far beyond my petty plan
I'd do no good for you, or me
With what my mind says presently
I’ve heard you speak of folly born
Within your heart
Your passion torn
You came too strong
You pushed away
So why the same old news today?
Oh nevermind
I'll see you still
Your anxiousness
Your stubborn will
Off will it pay?
Though yay or nay
Will never be your words to say
For you can't hold the candle high
If never, you have been to Lye......
